A big and very sincere thank you goes out to all our generous sponsors and supporters, to the riders, to our fabulous police escorts, our volunteers, and staff for helping to make the 20th anniversary of the CAPPY Ride against child abuse a record breaking year. With over 150 participants and close to twenty sponsors, the Ride raised over $53,000, well over our original goal, and that will all go to child sexual abuse prevention, education and treatment programs. Awesome!
We’re pleased to confirm that the 21st CAPPY Ride will once again start and finish at the Ancaster Fairgrounds. This year’s Honourary Ride Chair is Dave DeRocco from Astral Media (our generous CAPPY Media Sponsor). The volunteer committee is hard at work planning and organizing, and this year promises to be another fun and successful outing.

CAPPY 2012 will once again bring together a caring and generous group of riders and enthusiasts whose good will helps to make a world of difference each year for the Council and our ability to make a difference to the lives of the child victims of sexual abuse who come to our doors every day for help. Your support helps us all get a little closer to changing what goes on in our communities and neighborhoods and making children safer - and that's a hefty start to making broader change.
All of us at the Council - the staff and Board – are deeply grateful for this annual show of community support and generosity. Whether you're a veteran of the CAPPY Ride, or joining us for the first time this year, we extend our heartfelt thanks and a very sincere "welcome" to all!
