Welcome to cappyride.ca. Mark your calendars for July 11, 2010 and join us for the 19th annual CAPPY Ride in support of the Community Child Abuse Council of Canada. Ride with us to help prevent child abuse. Together we can make a difference in the lives of abused children through child abuse prevention, education and treatment.

Sexual abuse continues to affect millions of boys and girls of all ages from infancy through adolescence, across all social, ethnic, religious, and cultural groups around the world...and right here at home. 1 in 3 girls and 1 and 6 boys are sexually abused. Most of the children seeking help from the Council are between the ages of 2 and 12. Online sexual exploitation of children and youth is a serious problem. Since 1997 the number of child pornography images on the Internet is estimated to have increased by 1,500%. Almost 80% of web pages classified as child pornography have images of children younger than 8 years old being abused. We'll keep riding to help stop child abuse! Ride with us to show your support. Help us create a community free of child abuse.

The CAPPY Ride is a police escorted ride, planned along a safe, interesting and scenic route with a halfway rest stop at Balls Falls. Registration includes all refreshments, BBQ, and live entertainment.
